I understand that panic is a condition covered by disability but it takes several attempts sometimes to get it....also, most disability for mental health only lasts 2 years but not always, sometimes if panic is secondary and some other condition - ie heart, etc is primary it is long term. i never was on disability but this is what i have heard but not 100% sure..

i suffer immensly with panic disorder,it is my belief that meds have not helped me.about a year ago i was advised by mt phychiatrist to have a round of ECT A.K.A.electro shock treatment it was the most horrible thing i have ever gone threw.since then i have hated phychiatry .i use to believe in medication for panic and depresion, but with the side effects i am experiencing from them and withdrawal they have done me personally nothing short of what hell must feel like.i encourage you if it helps to work with a person that understands this condition ,because only a person who has been threw it can only truly understand it.
